Either way, you must reach the finish line for each level and you must constantly figure out ways to pass through rough obstacles that serve to hinder you and even quickly end your progress.
This game is a bit harsh in that if your bike topples over, it's game over. However, you can quickly restart the level and fortunately the levels are short. It is possible that your bike will flip over many times each level. Do not be discouraged as each fall means that you have learned the terrain and can quickly figure out ways to pass through that rough terrain. Here is where the computer opponent comes in handy. If the computer opponent is slightly ahead of you, you can watch him and can try to imitate his moves as he goes through rough terrain and obstacles. Another tool to guide you in traveling the challenging roads is the map that can be found in the upper right corner of the game screen. The map shows a decent amount of the roads ahead of you and you can refer to this map from time to time in order to make some plans ahead of the bumpy roads that you will encounter.
Motorbike Mania's graphics are outstanding. Your bike and rider are well-detailed and are fun to look at. The environments are impressive and help set an atmosphere of competition. You can also adjust the size of the game screen and make it bigger or smaller depending on your preferences.
The controls are easy to learn and are similar to other free bike games so you can jump right in and start the game quickly. The game tells you that the keyboard is the one used to control your bike rider. The up arrow button accelerates your bike. The down arrow button activates the brakes and makes your bike go in reverse. The left and right arrow buttons make your bike lean back and lean forward respectively. You can also press the P button to pause the game.
The sound effects are great and what you would expect in a motor bike racing game. The sounds that your motorcycle makes are impressive and generate excitement throughout the game. The music is awesome and loud and it serves to prove that this game means business.
